The Wild Child
aka L'enfant sauvage
First screened in July 2013
Director: François Truffaut. Cast: Jean-Pierre Cargol, François Truffaut, Françoise Seigner, Jean Dasté, Claude Miller, Annie Miller. Screenplay: François Truffaut and Jean Gruault (based on the book Victor de l'Aveyron by Jean Itard).

Twitter Capsule: Elegant and unsensationalized in all respects, at the cost of feeling a bit procedural. Cold when aiming for uplift.

VOR:   Interesting in Truffaut's context; a bit more astringent than is his wont. Unusual period evocation and topical focus. Still viable as a crossover hit in 1970.
