Like Mars Attacks! for kids who smoke ants with magnifying glasses and hide nudie mags inside their toy chests.
The fascist/antifascist stuff isn't nearly fleshed out enough to count as critique or POV but at least the director is reaching for an idea.
Whole swaths of it play like chintzy, phoned-in blockbuster pastiche, but there's a credible sense of purposeful, even ambitious tonal ambiguity.
