First screened in September 2014
Director: Bennett Miller. Cast: Channing Tatum, Steve Carell, Mark Ruffalo, Vanessa Redgrave, Sienna Miller, Anthony Michael Hall, Brett Rice, Guy Boyd, Corey Jantzen, Daniel Hilt, Jesse Jantzen. Screenplay: E. Max Frye and Dan Futterman.

Twitter Capsule: Solid cast, suffocating direction. Clear, repetitive audience cues. Overblown tragic tenor. Like Nolan doing Quiz Show.

VOR:   Credible as an acting showcase and a compendium of male-male envies, but even here both quality and originality vary. Fewer undertows than Capote, more stolid than Moneyball.
